New Interview with Pen Ward Confirms One Picture of Him Exists Online

Great interview over at albotas with Pen Ward, going over the show and explaining too much of the interviewers life. It goes over the shows creation and how an episode gets made and then where the interviewer works, because a blog don't pay enough and his relationship with a girl who has three kids.

Adventure Time Panel 2012

This is just the start, just keep going. This year's panel had Pen Ward, Rebecca Sugar, Jo Di Maggio the voice of Jake, the voice of Finn, Jeremey Shada and Tom Kenny ala Ice King They start with a reading with Ice King as a detective or rather the Ice King pretending to be a detective.

Collider has a great run through of the event and Q and A. I can't belevie Pepsisman inspired part of the new 3DS games. Pepsimanis this bizarre Japanese game never released stateside.

Giant Robot 2 (GR2) presents: They Are Us
Solo exhibition by Ako Castuera
Ako Castuera often shows at Giant Robot in group exhibitions. This will be her first solo effort at Giant Robot. Castuera’s work involves a look into the past which has brought us into the present. Along with her sweeping watercolor hills and valleys are dinosaurs and prehistoric animals. Castuera relays their significance as a dreaming point as well as their contribution in our ecosystem. Also in this exhibition will be sculptural work also depicting prehistoric animals captured in a modernistic style. Castuera’s work is colorful, dreamy and captures a concept that explains who we are and where we came from.

Voice of Finn Ehh?

 The voice of Finn Jeremy Shada will be in some sort of live action comedy show on CN. Gotta say it looks like total crap, but look where Shia LaBeouf came from. From Disney Channe's awful, awful shows. Why CN is doing live action (executive to be fired) again, I don't know or care. Stop trying to compete with Disney you own the cartoon market, until Marvel's hours trounces DC's hour.

Also don't cancel ThunderCats.

Andy Ristaino Meet

 Andy Ristaino was at LA Zinefest last Sunday and I met him again. Totally nice guy who got many a fist bump from Adventure Time fan. I believe he is lead character designer on the show. He was selling his comic and doing free drawings of adventure time characters for whoever asked. I'm gonna try and interview him, down the line, he seemed cool about it. When he wasn't busy we discussed the process of how AT is animated. You can check out his work at the above link. My friend grabbed three of his comics that I'm totally borrowing when his done reading. One called "the tunnel" I should have just bought. Darn!!!

Adventure Time Crew at the Annie Awards

 Guess who I ran into at the 39th Annual Annie Awards, none other than Adam Muto, Rebecca Sugar and Ian Jones-Quartey! The annual award show is for the best people in animation. The three were out and about at the after party. Ian says he's back on Adventure Time, which doesn't seem good for Secret Mountain Fort Awesome. 

Sadly, Adventure Time didn't win this year at the Annie's. It was nominated in two categories: Best Animated Special Production for the episode "Thank You" and Rebecca Sugar for Best Storyboarding in a Television Production. I'm just sorry they didn't win. Rats, I guess it's a honor just to be nominated, but still they should have won. I could hear people around me in the audience guessing they would win when their nominations went up and shouted woo-hoos as loudly as possible. Sorry guys, but to me and all your fans you don't need an award, you already won best cartoon show ever in our hearts.

Pop Candy Chats with Pen Ward, What No Candy People Jokes

Whitney Matheson, who is either a boy or a girl, with that name and image on his/her page I can't tell, got to chat with Pen about what coming up for the new season. Who knew USA Today had something called Pop Candy?

-It also has the only picture of Pen in a suit of sorts, he looks so bad in it. If I see him at something I'm taking more pictures to flood google images.
